On August 2, 2007 in Minsk a constituent agreement of non-profit organization, Association of legal persons “Republican Confederation of Entrepreneurship” was signed. Authorities and audit commission were elected during Constituent Conference. Minsk Capital Association of Entrepreneurs and Employers, regional business – associations of Brest, Vitebsk, Grodno and Mogilev, Republican trade union “Sadruznast”, regional ESC, and other organizations were the initiator of Confederation foundation.

Press service of the Ministry of Economy reported that the quantity of individual entrepreneurs in Belarus for July 1, 2007 had become 200.4 thousand individuals. From the beginning of this year IE quantity increased by 8.6 thousand individuals or 4,5%. Total sum of tax inpayments from individual entrepreneurs in January – July became 340.5 billion BLR.

On the 5th of July our Association has had a meeting in the Association office with the general director of program PUM Mr. Thijs Van Praag and the First Secretary of Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Warsaw Mr. Mauritz Verheijden. The main point of the meeting was possible realization of PUM program in our Republic. This program is financed by Netherlands government, EU and UN, and is aimed to support business development in different countries.

The date of the III International Bank Conference has had to be postponed from 5-6th of December to 12-13th of December 2007. These changes were made at the suggestion of the representatives of the Russian Bank Association. This is due to the fact of Parliament elections which are taking place at the beginning of December.

The seminar of Strategic Management which took place in Silichy had been finished.
MCAEE and other regional business associations participated in the seminar. The
representatives of South Sweden Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Swedish Federation
of Private Enterprises were organizes of the seminar. Experienced instructors introduced
the auditory to the original theory and practice of international Strategic management.

The delegation MCAEE has a business trip to Lida. The main point of this trip is a participation in preparing Economics Days of Lida Region, that is going to be on 3-4 July in Lida. There will be the International Economic Forum “Sustainable economic development of single territory: new abilities for business and investment”, III Regional exhibition “Lida-region-2007”. Economics days will be held with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus.  www.lida.by

       MCAEE Vice-President Ms. Lilia Koval met a delegation from the Republic of Hungary on June, 6th 2007. The delegation consisted of PhD. Mr. Adam Kemen, Advisor of the Embassy of the Republic of Hungary, Agriculture Attaché and Ms. Edina Maria Slaninka, Specialist of the Ministry of Agriculture and Development of Agriculture Territories of the Republic of Hungary.     

       Ms. Lilia Koval informed our Hungarian guests about MCAEE activity and advocacy and about creation of the business network of the Republic of Belarus. Much attention was paid to the future cooperation because it is planned to open the Embassy of the Republic of Hungary in Belarus.

       On June, 1st there was the 16th phone conference of heads of business associations from Minsk, Brest, Vitebsk, Gomel, Grodno, Mogilev, ESC Borisov, Vitebsk, Baranovichi, Belarusian Trade Union of different forms of business “Sadruzhnasts`” (“Commonwealth”). The conference was focused on preparation of offers aimed at simplification of administrative procedures that will be presented to the working group headed by the Deputy Prime-Minster Mr. A. Kobyakov. As the First Vice-President of MCAEE Mr. Victor Margelov underlined, it is necessary in the near future to analyse the proposals that business associations offer, to add the necessary changes and to present them to the Working group in the near future.      

       According to the tradition, the participants informed one another about their plans done that were outlined during the previous phone conference and informed about their plans for June 2007. All business events of this month will be devoted to the celebration – Entrepreneurship Revival Day that is being annually celebrated on June, 15. Minsk Capital Association of Entrepreneurs and Employers will celebrate its 10th anniversary. On June, 14 2007 its partners from regional business associations will arrive for the festive meeting devoted to the jubilee of the Association.
