Eastern Partnership Summit
On November 28, 2013 the Chairman of PA “MCAEE” Vladimir Karyagin took part in the work of the Third Summit of “Eastern Partnership” member countries, which was opened today in the capital of Lithuania Vilnius. Belarusian delegation was headed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei, who presented Belarus’ position and approach towards “Eastern Partnership” and further development of this initiative during plenary discussion on November 29, 2013. During the summit bilateral meetings of Belarusian delegation head with EU and partner countries representatives, as well as with the administration of European structures, were conducted. The forum involved the representatives of 34 countries on the level of countries heads and ministers, as well as EU administration. During the forum the future of six post-Soviet space countries (Moldova, Belarus, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Ukraine was discussed. The working sittings of the summit were conducted in exhibition and conference center “Litexpo”.
