The EBRD
commissioned a collection of personal reflections on the transition process
across the EBRD’s region of operations. Through the voices and emotions of 15
prominent writers and essayists, it brings together a diverse range of views on
the social and economic changes that have affected their countries since the
end of communism in eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union.
EBRD is publishing this volume on the occasion of its 2008 Annual Meeting in Kyiv. It gives a sense of the colossal historic changes which have occurred across this region.
