WASHINGTON, September 6, 2006 (RFE/RL) - The World Bank today released its annual survey on ease of doing business.
The report evaluates 175 countries in 10 specific areas of business regulation, including the ease of registering a business, paying taxes, and trading across borders.
According to "Doing Business 2007," Armenia and Georgia - ranked 34th and 37th, respectively - scored better than EU countries such as Spain and Portugal.

On August 21 – 22 2006 a workshop for development of strategic plan of development of business associations based on LFA method (Local foundation Approach) for heads and members of Boards of entrepreneurial associations of the Republic of Belarus took place. Consultants-experts from Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Southern Sweden helped to find out the weak points of development of regional business associations, analyse problems, develop the plan of events for strengthening the role of business associations for representatives of business and their consolidation.
